I was the Lead Designer for 500 Words: Black Lives Matter, a Virgin Radio writing competition for kids aimed at creating a creative platform to hear children’s voice on social issues, organised by radio host Chris Evans.
I was tasked with designing all elements for 500 Words. This included redesigning the logo and creating a new brand identity to be used for future iterations of the writing competition.
As well as the main assets, I wrote the branding guidelines and created designs for all social media avenues incorporating animation in all of them. Additionally, I oversaw the graphics used on the website and produced animations, printed posters and certificates for children.
The initiative was heavily advertised by celebrities, including an appearance on ITV’s This Morning.
